David Sharpe, or as his fans call him “PapaHugs” has been playing guitar and creating music for many years. His children and grandchildren have been his biggest inspiration in the creation of his original children's music. As his passion for writing, recording and performing children's music has increased he released his first CD "All The Things You Dream" in 2006 and now has released his second CD "A Great Day For You and Me". These CDs contain original music that his fans are entertained with at a PapaHugs concert.

A Papa Hugs concert includes the five member PapaHugs Band and The PapaHugs Playtime Characters (Wonder The Kangaroo, Scary bug, Robbie The Robot, Fitness the Frog, and Stinky Beetle).

PapaHugs Productions was started by David Sharpe to produce and market his original music for children. This is music which is produced following his vision of creating music that is educational, interactive, upbeat, silly and fun, as well as teaching children about relationships, health, our environment, and the world around us. His goal is also to create children's music which both children and their parents and grandparents can enjoy.
